What is the LG G3?

The G3 is a flagship smart phone released by LG in 2014. In my humble opinion the LG G3 is a very worthy smart phone, and easily competes with all the big guns in its category.

Performance & Connectivity

I have to admit I have been very impressed with the speed of the phone. I haven’t subjected it to rigorous bench marking and any specific scientific tests I have only measured it against how it does the things I need it to do day to day, and the answer is an emphatic yes!.

The doesn’t appear to be any lag, at least to my glasses wearing naked eye. Apps open and close quick smart and scrolling on the screen is quick.

Connectivity wise it’s great, it’s got everything you need, wireless, bluetooth, infrared and G4. I don’t really know what else to say other than I have managed to connect it to everything I’ve needed to connect it to without an issue.

I am not sure if this is an Android feature or an LG feature but it the device comes with “Quick Remote” enabling you to programme your phone as a remote control for almost any consumer electronic device in your home. I’ve programmed it to act as my TV, HiFi and DVD player remote easily. Although I have found that it can be quite finicky when it comes to lining up the signal, which is probably a small restraint due to the small infrared hole on the phone, ensuring you line it up with line of sight it works great.
